1. A Zebra skin rug can be cleaned by wiping it with a clean, water dampened cloth but should NEVER be soaked in water. Under no circumstance should a zebra skin be machine washed, tumble dried or dry cleaned.
2. Rugs can be damaged by being exposed to direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time. It is preferable to keep an animal skin in a room with less exposure to direct sunlight.
3. If a Zebra rug is folded and stored, creases may appear. To remove these, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Dampen a clean cloth with paint thinner. 

Step 2: On the hair, using your damp cloth, firmly wipe over the creases, using a pressing and straightening motion. Be sure to wipe in the same direction in which the hair flows (i.e., with the grain). Under NO circumstances should a clothing steam iron be used to iron out creases on a Zebra skin. 

Step 3: Lay flat and unfolded. Repeat step 1 and 2 if necessary.

1. To remove dust particles from a Zebra skin, it is recommended that it is swept with a broom. Be sure to sweep in the same direction in which the hair flows (i.e., with the grain). Excessive use of a vacuum cleaner may remove or damage hair follicles.

Yes, all our Zebra skins are individually picked, inspected, photographed, packaged, and labelled. The skin you see in the photographs of the listing will be the exact skin shipped to you after purchase.

Trophy skins have virtually no imperfections and are in the top 5% of all skins, in terms of quality. They must also exceed 10 Foot in length (tip of the nose to tip of the tail).

A grade skins have almost no noticeable imperfections, and all flaws must be minor (example a small scratch, nothing major). A grade skins are in the top 25% of all skins, in terms of quality. They must also exceed 9 Foot in length (tip of the nose to tip of the tail).

B grade skins have some noticeable imperfections or some minor flaws. However, due to our strict grading process, all of our B grade skins are still high-end B grades.

The longevity of a Zebra skin depends on the amount of foot traffic it experiences, but with proper and adequate care, a Zebra skin rug should last decades!
